We slogged our way up the Humphreys Peak Trail and into Flying Dutchman this morning. It took about 3x as long as usual because of the deep snow and trail breaking.
The old base was pretty thin in Dutchman and the rocks were poking up through the new snow -- and many more were hidden. We climbed up to the rock field in the wide, middle section and called it good enough since there were too many rocks up higher. Did a few runs down on the far left without hitting any rocks. Powder was thigh deep on the downhill tele turns.
No sign of natural avalanche activity -- but visibility was limited.
