3-31-14 And so ends a winter season for the record books......Snowbowl is closed for the season with a 9500' total snowfall of only 65 inches from Oct.1.....at 10800' only 110 inches recorded.......normal snowfall at 10800' is 265"....despite below normal snowfall good skiing was had on the manmade snow and the natural snow that remained in place. The backcountry access was only available for a handful of days and reports varied from good to not worth it......there should be some late season turns out there in the IB but you will have to work hard for them......remember good skiing or no skiing are the choices we have here in the high country some seasons.
Thanks for tuning in and supporting your local avalanche center, keep that "El Nino" coming. Im off to the Rio.....Kaptain out
