April storm forecast

Postby tripice351 » April 9th, 2012, 6:35 pm

The NOAA forecast is showing Snow Likely for this weekend.. with possible significant accumulations at higher elevations. Any beta on remaining snowpack conditions later this week would be appreciated.

Two of the three major forecast models show significant snowfall over the higher elevations starting Friday and continuing through the weekend. (The third model forecasts only a minor snow event.)

Much longer range forecast show another system arriving late next week.

The season isn't over yet...

Most North and NW facing aspects still have good snowpack. The more elevation you get the better...my last day up on the hill was Thursday. Some folks still skinning up and taking advantage of whats left. Perhaps some Pow will fall for one last session.
