Heres a thought, The Coco SAR is almost entirely volunteer, running on a shoestring budget in the largest county in the lower 48. Is there any wisdom in organizing a Snowbowl volunteer unit that works in conjunction with Patrol and SAR? We know the area, hazards, and most live in close proximity. B...

If I needed to call for rescue I would prefer to pay a fee for a professional, well trained and equipped responders, than argue after the fact if I was "adequately prepared, properly trained, or made a bad decision". I have to put a plug in for Coconino County Sheriff's Search and Rescue....
